Creative Services Associate
Creative Services Associate Job DescriptionThis key design role will help implement graphic design and related support for the Marketing and Communications department, working under the direction of the Creative Services Manager and Communications Director. Must be familiar with design software, have a strong project management background, and possess the ability to prioritize multiple, complex design projects in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities require communication with company management at all levels in North America, as this role works directly with a variety of functions. Work is primarily conducted with the marketing and communications staff, but also project development staff.
This role will assist with the development of all marketing and communication pieces, including project management of design vendors to support the marketing and communications functions. This position will help design and produce print and multimedia projects, working closely with the Creative Services Manager and supporting a variety of additional design functions, including fulfillment, response to incoming design tickets and the management of various design tools. Working under the supervision of the Creative Services Manager, the Associate will be expected to help design and fulfill requests for brochures, customer reports, publications, advertisements, photography, digital collateral, video shooting and editing for both internal and external use.
Responsibilities also include maintenance of the company’s photography library, the purchasing of stock images, managing vendors and negotiating best value for the product. Coordination of designers, photographers, videographers and printers to meet project requirements is also part of this role, as is providing strong customer service to the company’s internal customers. Above all, the Associate is expected to develop a deep understanding of the company’s brand guidelines to ensure brand integrity is met.
Essential Job Functions
•Coordinating complex graphic design projects with multiple components. Working with marketing and communications teams to determine job requirements and production methods.
•Supporting Creative Services Manager by helping create graphic designs and determining specifications for layout and printing. Preparing all artwork and specifications for all proof stages and final release.
•Identifying cost-saving design solutions for projects.
•Proofing and editing materials for design consistency and compliance with branding and company graphic standards.
•Conducting press checks and other quality-control inspections to ensure quality of final printed material.
•Maintaining a production schedule for all graphics and activities, including quotes for material needs, costs, and estimated printing schedules.
•Coordinating the purchasing of photography, illustrations and video provided by independent vendors.
•Providing oversight, procurement and production support for building signage for company facilities and regional offices.
Boston Graphic Design Job
Creative Services Associate Job Requirements•Familiarity with Adobe CC graphic design software (including PhotoShop, Illustrator & InDesign) with a strong desire to achieve mastery, as well as a working understanding of Premiere Pro, Audition and After Effects.
•Aptitude and interest in location photography and videography with digital camera, as well as video editing experience.
•Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
•Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, and excellent written and verbal skills. This role requires a self-starter who can communicate throughout the organization to ensure the company’s creative needs are met.
•1-3 years experience.
